Electro-Explosive System

SimOn is an electro-explosive system (EES) used for the remote safe ignition of solid rocket motors. The product features a safe and arm device (SAD) that implements the physical separation between the pyrotechnical component and the pyro-duct. An electronic board provides the interface with the rest of the system and control the actuation of the requested maneuvers. Finally, and electro-explosive device (EED) generates the motor ignition.

AOCS Suite

Modular Attitude and Orbit Control System

The AOCS Suite is a modular attitude and orbit control system solution built of three nested systems that can be acquired separately. Each layer is built upon the ones below, enabling satellite designers to create an ADCS that fits their needs and budgets.

D-Sense

Multi-Sensor ADCS Module

D-Sense is a multi-sensors module that has the capability to track the position of the Sun, the Earth’s horizon, the magnetic field, and the angular rate of the spacecraft. It also includes a camera that can be used to take photos and videos, and operate as a star tracker.

Thanks to D-Sense, spacecraft designer have the opportunity to implement the ADCS by integrating a single, compact box, equipped with its own microcontroller, and fed by a single pair of power and data line. The modules are produced in series and precisely calibrated against strict standards, ensuring performance consistency across distinct units. This feature is ideal for satellite constellations because it ensures uniform and consistent readings across all spacecraft.

OBC Core

General Purpose Onboard Computer

OBC Core is an affordable onboard computer for general applications on mini and micro satellites. Build with rugged automotive-grade components, OBC core features a double or even quadruple redundant architecture, making it a reliable alternative to more expensive radiation hardened hardware. The board comes with a software bundle that includes a real time operating system and tools to manage the board configuration, transfer data and software applications, and collect and transmit telemetry.

IA Core

General-Purpose Computing Node

IA-Core is a general-purpose computing node with standardized mechanical and electrical interfaces. The core incorporates a low power 32-bit microprocessor for on-board computing tasks and access to a wide variety of communication buses and peripherals. Several on-board memories are provided including a 1Gbit non-volatile flash device for general purpose storage and a 4MBit FRAM non-volatile memory for configuration data storage.

Simba

Onboard Computer

Simba is a versatile, lightweight, and cost-effective onboard computer for platform management and general-purpose applications. It features redundant interface-to-spacecraft data bus, a companion Microsemi RTSX32SU FPGA for customized applications and a qualified RTEMS software suite. Qualified for long-lasting LEO mission, Simba is based on a reliable and flight-proven LEON3-FT SPARC V8 core by Cobham Gaisler (GR712RC). It can be used for attitude determination and control systems (ADCS), telemetry and telecommand (TMTC), platform health monitoring, payload processing services, and for any other subsystem that requires processing capabilities.

D3

Decommissioning Device

D3 is an independent, smart rocket motor optimized for decommissioning maneuvers. Installed on satellites before launch, D3 can be activated from the ground even if the main spacecraft bus is unresponsive to perform a quick, safe, and direct disposal maneuver at end-of-life or in case of a major failure. D3 is fully compliant with international space debris regulations, enabling operators of constellations to maintain their operational orbits free from uncontrolled satellites, and reducing collision risk. Depending on the configuration, D3 can perform quick re-entry for LEO satellites, re-orbiting to graveyard orbit for MEO and GEO satellites.

D-Raise

Propulsion System

D-Raise is a compact, independent, solid propulsion system optimized for commissioning maneuvers of full-electric satellite platforms. Its compact, high thrust motor accelerates the transfer maneuver from GTO to GEO by boosting the perigee up to an altitude of 500km. The extended version is even capable to raise the perigee up to 10,000 km, well above the Van Allen radiation belts and most space debris. D-Raise enables satellite operators to start generating revenues earlier while preventing deterioration of satellite components, and reducing collision risk.
